I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break! We are coming to a busy time in the year. Please keep checking folders as updated events and information are passed out throughout the next three weeks. We will have a review week December 5– 9, 2016. I might be sending home a little more homework that week, so that we can get extra exposure to the tested standards. The following week is our checkpoint testing. AR goals are due by December 15, 2016. Most of us are right on track with our goals, or have already achieved our second 9-week goals. We start subtraction with regrouping this week. We continue main idea and supporting details for this week’s reading skill. We will also continue working on informative writing as our focus on Thursday. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Thank you! -Mr. McDannald | Reminder: |

I hope everyone is ready for a busy week! Most importantly, there is no school this Tuesday. The schools will be closed for Election Day. The library will be open to Book Fair shoppers. The Book Fair is live this week (November 7-11, 2016). The library will be opened just for a little bit each day after school to do some book shopping. The students will have an opportunity to make a wish list on Monday. We will be testing on 2-digit addition this week. We will also be learning how to write a friendly letter this week. Thank you for all your hard work with the students on 2-digit addition at home. It really shows! Remember we are trying to master addition facts. Xtramath is a quick little exercise that the students can do at home. If you need login information again please contact me! -Mr. McDannald | Reminder: |
